Joris Timmermans is a registered Osteopath and Acupuncturist and has been practising since 2000. He ran successful clinics in Belgium and the Netherlands before moving to London with his wife in 2015. Over this time he has gained invaluable insights into the body and how it responds to various factors such as; mechanical trauma, postural issues, stress and lifestyle.

The key to any of his treatments is understanding the origin of the patient’s complaint.

For your body to be free of pain and to function well, different parts of the body have to work together. Joris is experienced to quickly assess where the problem is rooted and will then select the right techniques for each individual case, or if needed, will refer on to another specialist.

As an osteopath, she considers pain and other symptoms as the body’s way of informing an individual when their body needs attention – change, rest, nutrients, support or time for adaptation.  Jacqui listens to support this process through manual techniques and thorough communication.

Advice can include; dietary, postural, lifestyle changes, ergonomic advice, awareness and reduction of stress.

“I went to Joris after years of seeking treatment following a serious road traffic accident that left me with severe back and neck problems. He takes a very comprehensive, intelligent approach focusing not just on your physical alignment and wellbeing but looks at the whole picture and treats you accordingly. His treatment is intuitive, subtle and effective and I always leave feeling more balanced and calmer generally.”

Jane W, Wimbledon

“Joris is calm and thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. He immediately puts you at ease with his relaxed manner and the fact that he explains exactly what the treatment entails. He is considerate to my views on what works for me and what does not. He also tailors the treatment to my lifestyle and works with this rather than criticising it! His holistic approach to treatment, balanced with knowing when certain aspects of a standard treatment would exacerbate the symptoms and effects, provide instant relief – and can have the added benefit of a very deep night’s sleep!
I can highly recommend Joris – his personal and individualised approach is refreshing.”

Carla S , Wimbledon

“Joris is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced, and never having visited an osteopath before, this really put me at ease.  He very quickly worked out the cause of pain and stiffness I was having in my back and ankle, and even after a couple of treatments he started to make a real difference.  Joris also has a great manner, he’s very amiable and also explained what he was doing and why.  Big thumbs up!”

Melissa V.D.H , London

“As a sport enthusiast I’ve experienced lots of neck and back pain doing sports, and I was also getting a lot of pain whilst sitting my desk at work.  I finally contacted Joris.
I really like his professional and helpfully approach, as he explains the reasons behind each of his techniques. After 3 visits the pain was gone.”

Tomas C, Raynes Park

“After several years of periodically back pain and undergoing different kinds of treatments, Joris was the therapist who helped me the most. With a fine sense for people, Joris always seems to know where to start and to pick up his patients. In my case the first step was to generally calm down my body with very gentle techniques, followed by working on the structural problems at my lower back.
The holistic approach and the advice Joris gave me whilst talking throughout the treatments have given me a more relaxed point of view of my problems, I started to handle it differently and be more patient. Thank you!!!”
